Official ICS 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Google Nexus S


Recently Google Rolled out ICS 4.0.4 update for Samsung  Nexus S i9023 via OTA. Lots of peoples can’t taste this update because of location or ROMs. So here in this article we are going to show you how to update your Nexus S with ICS 4.0.4 IMM76D Firmware. This is not anofficial build, but it is same as official ROM. So Nexus S owners can use this Firmwareto get latest version of ICS on their device.

5. Animations will be smooth.

1. Same old Gingerbread sounds and audios.
2. Launcher lags.
3. Old version kernel.

Notes:

2. Backup all your data and full charge your phone.
3. This update is for Galaxy Nexus S running ICS 4.0.3. If you are using any other versions then flash it with ICS 4.0.3.
4. Enable USB debugging.
Instructions:
1. First download ICS 4.0.4 IMM76D from this link.
2. Connect your phone with your computer and copy the zip file to root of your SD card (not inside any folders) and disconnect your phone.
3. Now turn off your phone and boot into recovery mode (CWM). You can do this bypressing and holding Volume Up button + power button simultaneously.
4. Now select apply update from sdcard and select zip file which you copied to SD card.
5. Wait for some minutes for installation.
Once done, reboot your device. Now your device boots with latest version of ICS 4.0.4. Check your OS version by going to Settings -> About phone. If you got any problems then go to boot loader mode and wipe data, cache partition and dalvik cache. Enjoy using ICS on Nexus S.
How to Root Google Nexus S running ICS 4.0.4:
Rooting is very simple. Just download the Superuser zip file from this link. Copy it to SD card and follow the above steps to flash it via recovery mode. Once done, reboot your device and enjoy using Rooted ICS 4.0.4 on Nexus S.
